Meagan Gilbert recently finished her PhD in geology at the University of Saskatchewan. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012 with a B. Sc. in Palaeobiology, with minors in geology and plains archaeology. Meagan has many ongoing interdisciplinary research programs focused on paleoenvironmental and paleoecological reconstruction of the Upper Cretaceous in Saskatchewan, utilizing sequence stratigraphy, ichnology, and paleontology. Recently, she has started working on the Cypress Hills Formation of southwestern Saskatchewan. She is currently employed as a geologist at Teck Coal Ltd. in the Elk Valley Region of southeastern British Columbia.
