Don White

Research Scientist at Geological Survey of Canada

Don White is a senior research scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada where he has worked as a geophysicist in the field of Applied Seismology since 1989. He has conducted seismic studies at scales ranging from lithospheric to shallow crustal. In Saskatchewan he has worked in the Athabasca basin, the Fort a la Corne kimberlite field, and the Trans-Hudson orogen. Since 2001, he has pioneered underground CO2 storage monitoring research with the IEA Weyburn-Midale CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project (2001 to 2011), and more recently  in the Aquistore CO2 Storage Project (2010-2019).
