David Stevenson

Director, Climate Change Policy and Planning Climate Change Branch at Ministry of Environment, Government of Saskatchewan

David Stevenson is the Director of Climate Change Policy and Planning with the Climate Change Branch of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment. He graduated from Lakehead University with an H.B.Sc.F. and an M.Sc.F. specializing in forest pathology. David worked for a variety of industry and consulting firms in the forest sector of Northwestern Ontario and Southeastern US prior to joining the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment’s Forest Service Branch in 2008. While with the Forest Service, David was responsible for forest management planning and forest policy development. In November of 2017, just prior to the release of Prairie Resilience, David joined the Ministry of Environment’s Climate Change Branch in his current role with responsibility for legislative and regulatory development and stakeholder engagement.
